Four officials named on committee

The Whitman County Classification Committee recently filled four positions for two year terms.

County Auditor Eunice Coker, who will represent elected officials; Jill Whelchel of juvenile services; finance manager David Ledbetter and Cinnamon Brown of the public health department were appointed to the committee.

The committee has 12 members and has duties such as participating in a compensation system, salary range for each position and classifying positions.

The four new members replaced Sheriff Brett Myers, Esther Wilson, Judy McMurray and Gary Petrovich.

Other members of the committee are Don Millington of public works with the Road Bargaining Unit; Lori Nails of the treasurer’s office of the Courthouse Bargaining Unit; Jeremy Hodson, public works, Solid Waste Bargaining Unit; Bob Reynolds, fair manager and maintenance director; Peggy Wright, weed department; Judi Dunn-Gray, solid waste; Dan LeBeau, prosecutor’s office, and Kelli Campbell, human resources. Fran Martin, public health director, and Denis Tracy, prosecutor, are non-voting members.
