Rosalia driver hits cow

Nancy L. Francis, Rosalia, complained of neck and back pain after the 2009 Subaru Legacy she was driving Monday struck a cow on Highway 195 2.1 miles south of Colfax.

According to the Washington State Patrol accident report, she was driving northbound at 11:55 p.m. when she hit the cow which was in the northbound lane.

—-Donna Hansen, LaCrosse, sustained a hip injury Saturday in a two-car accident at the intersection of Highway 195 and the Wawawai Road just east of Pullman. According to the WSP report, she was driving a 1991 Ford Escort southbound on 195 at 12:25 p.m. when Isaiah Qualls, Moscow, who had been stopped in a 2009 Acura STX on the Wawawai Road, failed to see the Hansen car when he pulled into the intersection. The Acura hit the Escort on the driver’s door, the report said.
