Hatten will talk
on Palouse Bees
Palouse Prairie Foundation and the White Pine chapter of the Idaho Native Plant Society will sponsor a public presentation on Bees of Palouse Prairie by Dr. Tim Hatten June 6 at 7 p.m. in the 1912 Center Fiske Room, Moscow.
He will provide background information on bee species found in the area while showing results from a study that he and colleagues conducted on the bee community of the critically-endangered Palouse Prairie. Bees are amongst the most important of all pollinators, critical for the survival of both agricultural systems and native habitats. There are many important and interesting species of bees beyond the common honey bee.
The public is invited. For further information contact Dave Skinner at Moscow.
