Serving Whitman County since 1877
The Endicott branch of Whitman County Library will host a grand re-opening today (Thursday) from 5 to 7 p.m.
The ceremony is set for 6 p.m. and features recognition of donors, refreshments and announcement of the winners of the silent auction and raffle. Community members are invited to participate in the silent auction and raffle until the grand re-opening.
The library underwent a complete renovation and had operated in an alternate location for more than a year. The renovation cost $130,000 and was funded almost entirely from grants and donations. Raffles, auctions and other fundraising activities are still happening to help afford a number of items that had to be cut from the project including a “wet” area for children’s crafts, signage and an awning.
Endicott Library hours are Tuesdays from 1 to 5 p.m., Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with preschool storytime each Friday at 10 a.m.
For more information about the project, silent auction or raffle, contact Whitman County Library Director Kristie Kirkpatrick, (509) 397-4366, or the Endicott Library, (509) 657-3429.
