Safety tip
We all think we are pretty good and safe drivers and most of us are. However, we all can use a little touch up and reminder.
We are going to review the use of your automobile turn indicators. They have been standard in cars for many years. Turn indicators are to tell cars in front of you as well as behind of your intentions of turning either left or right. You need to give people ahead of you and behind adequate time to react to your turns ... and we hope that you grant them the same courtesy. It is very dangerous when people turn their turn indicator on immediately in front of their turn, left or right.
You should turn on your signal at least 1/2 a block ahead of time and be in the correct lane to turn left and the correct lane to turn right.
I am fortunate that I have a friend that rides with me and helps remind me of proper driving etiquette.

There to help
Given all the rotten things going on in the world and US press I wanted to write a brief letter about how nice it is to live here on the Palouse.
While working downstairs this week I got a knock on the door from our local mail carrier pointing out that the fence out on the corner of our field was on fire.
A smoldering cottonwood near our place had flamed up in the wind and spread some embers that were lighting up a growing area.
Not only did she go out of her way to warn me, she drove around the side to carry buckets to try to put out the fire.
About the time I realized the fire was getting too far out of control and we should be calling the fire department, up rolls a big red truck with a serious tank of water on the back.
Maybe in ten minutes I could have gotten a hose out to the fire, but as the fire captain pointed out, “...in ten minutes that fire could have been out to the highway.”
No one asked if I was a Republican or Democrat. My opinion on residential chickens didn’t seem to matter to anyone. My income or employment status were not checked. I had a problem, and people were there to help and we appreciate it. Our barn full of dry hay and field with beautiful horses were both safe thanks to caring neighbors.

How desperate?
I keep wondering how desperate the Obama people will get to try to get more people to believe that ObamaCare will solve our nation’s health care problems. We have problems with health care, but a lot of them are caused by government problems that go back many years. We have expenses that are out of control because of a lack of control and poor monitoring of expenses.
This latest proposal to try to get the professional NF teams to advertise and basically endorse Obama Care was rejected. I think he might try the NBA, but his other plan is to have 17,000 librarians trying to influence people.
Why is Mr. Obama changing to panic mode? He is doing that because the polls show people are becoming aware of just how bad this thing is. Young people were to be the money people and now the young people are switching to the no group. Fifty-eight percent now say the plan should be altered or discarded completely, as of a June 30th poll.
Do you suppose Mr. Obama has too many victims of our modern math program on his staff?
