Doreen Riedner, Genesee, and Denise Kendall, Tacoma, are helping their brother Brian Broeckel with harvest. Recently, Tony Kendall, husband of Denise, brought his parents, Keith and Priscilla Kendall, from their home in Tacoma to help celebrate the 89th birthday of Keith’s brother, Tom Kendall, in St. John.
Suzy McNeilly’s daughter Missy and her family have been visiting from Camp Pendleton, Calif., where Missy’s husband Mark is stationed with the Marine Corps. Grandson Gavin will be staying with Dick and Suzy for a few weeks.
Many Dusty residents attended the funeral services in Colfax last week Wednesday for Shirley Eggers, long time owner-operator of Warm Springs Ranch Orchard in Penawawa along the Snake River. Services were at the Bruning Funeral chapel with burial in the Colfax Cemetery.
A reception was hosted by her children, Terry and Janet Eggers and Patsy and Mike Kromm at Hill Ray Plaza.
Following morning worship services at Country Bible Church Sunday, Oscar Broeckel was honored for his 91st birthday with cake and punch enjoyed by the congregation. The reception was hosted by his children Tom and Doreen Riedner and Denise Kendall.
Weekend visitors of Kim and Cindy Pitts were their children, Carrie Pitts, Yakima, and Rafe, Tate, Amanda and Erik Carlson, Spokane. They celebrated Tate’s fourth birthday. Joining them for dinner Sunday was Norm Bafus, LaCrosse.
