Sagers return to Dusty after long flights

Art and Colene Sager just completed a cross country trip in their airplane, a Mooney M20C. In 36 hours of flying time, they saw Mt. Rushmore, an Indianapolis Nascar Race and Niagra Falls. In between time, they spent a week in western Pennsylvania at a time share condo and three days at the International Flying Farmer Convention in Indianapolis. Their son Blake Sager and family took care of their yard and garden while they were gone.

Jennifer Claassen’s niece and nephew, Riley and Katie Stinson of Kansas City, flew in to visit their aunt and uncle’s family. Her brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Kay Stinson, arrived Saturday and will stay for a few days before driving back to their home.

Dick and Helen Appel attended the wedding of their granddaughter Jessica Stavig to Kyle Wenke in Yacolt. They were accompanied by their daughter Caroline Kunkel and her daughter Elly, Pullman, and Logan Appel, Hamilton, Mass. Scott Stavig returned home with them to drive harvest truck for his uncle, Neil Appel.

Guenter and Brigitte Scherwinski, Mountain Home, Idaho, were weekend guests of their daughter’s family, Angela and Brian Broeckel. They came to help their grandson Graham BeDell celebrate his 18th birthday. Graham’s sister Sami, Walla Walla, also arrived to help in the celebration and spend a few days during harvest.

Linda Hennigar attended the wedding of Tiffany Hennigar to Thomas Yeates, both of Spokane, at the Camden Ranch in Elk Saturday. She spent the night at Mt. Spokane with Kathy and Jody Prout. They all went huckleberry picking Sunday. On her way home, Hennigar stopped in Spokane to visit her uncle and aunt, Kenneth and Berniece Wigen. She also got to see their son Keith Wigen, Rockford, and Keith’s two grandsons, Jacob and Isaiah and friend Brianna.
