Huffs gather at N.C. Beach

Sharon Huff traveled to Durham, N.C., to visit Mike, Kathy, Katrina and Jay Huff. Joining them were Bob, Julie and PJ Huff of Antioch, Calif., and Sheryl, Terry, Shelby and Lauren Kyllo of Anacortes. They went to Holden Beach, N.C., for a week of playing in the ocean and shopping.

A 50th birthday fete for Bob Huff and 25th anniversary for Sheryl and Terry Kyllo were celebrated.

John and Kathy Schlomer joined members of an Iowa Farmers Group for a day on the Snake River Dancer Excursion Jet Boat through Hells Canyon going to within 17 miles of Hells Canyon Dam. Those on the trip were Ray and Marge Nelson of Moscow; Jon and Carol Whitman, Jerry and Karen Bloomsfield and Burlene Blankenship of Pullman; Rick and Ann Cook of Worthington, Iowa, and Dave and Arlene Beringer of Sherrill, Iowa.

The Iowa couples were guests of Dewayne and Burlene Blankenship during their stay. The Blankenships had been tour guides for local folks when they traveled to Iowa last October and visited at the Cook’s dairy farm. The Cooks and Beringers were kept busy seeing sights from Steptoe Butte to the Wallowa mountains. Rick and Dave were able to get in one more morning of harvesting at the Blankenships/Schlomers farms, while Ann and Arlene enjoyed ice cream and tea at Ferdinand’s in Pullman.
