Smiths will mark 50th Sunday

Warren and Bonnie Smith, residents of Colfax since 1981, will be honored on their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at the Onecho Bible Church following the Sunday service, about noon to 1 p.m. Smith and Bonnie Nordwall of Douglas, N.C., were married Aug. 31, 1963, in Minot, N.D. They met when he went to North Dakota to work on the Minuteman Missile project. They moved west where they managed the mobile home park at Wawawai for 10 years before moving to Colfax. Their three daughters and spouses are Jeanette and Kent Mackleit of the Detroit area, Elizabeth and Terry Huber and Holly and Chance Hiatt, all of Colfax. They have seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
