Two earn scholarships

Ryan Pitzer, son of Tami and Joe Pitzer, and Ellen Simonsen, daughter of Mary and Jan Simonsen, all of Pullman, have each received a scholarship through the WSU College of Engineering and Architecture. Pitzer received a $1,000 Harold P. Curtis scholarship, and Simonsen received a $3,000 Ellie C. Hendrickson scholarship. Simonsen plans to graduate from WSU with a degree in civil engineering. She is the president of Engineers Without Borders and the public service chair of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
