RAIN STOPS HARVEST BEE
For the first time in its 30-plus years, the Palouse Empire Labor Day Threshing Bee was called off on account of rain Monday. Volunteers had worked most of the week setting up equipment and making repairs in preparation for the big day.
Rain Sunday night put Monday’s start on hold, and blue skies out west held a promise of a start after lunch at the community building.
