The Port of Whitman has issued a call for offers to manage and maintain the port’s Whitman County Business Air Center at Colfax.
According to port Executive Director Joe Poire, Fender Aviation has the current contract and has been doing the work since the port took over the airport from the county.
The current contract covers five years with annual payments of $22,000.
The contract includes mowing and watering the grounds, keeping the property clean, weeding, inspecting the airport, maintaining runway lights and system, complying with FAA regulations, maintaining records of daily flights, take-offs and landings, as well as several more services.
Resumes and cover letters are due to the port office by Sept. 13.
