Bigger, better Harvest Festival planned

The first time was a charm, and the second year of the Farmington Harvest Festival arrives Saturday.

The town’s celebration includes the Tube-A-Palooza innertube roll, a car and motorcycle show and shine, fun run, bands on a flatbed truck, a beer garden and more.

This year, new additions include “Made in Farmington” vendors, antiques, marshmallow golf, a bicycle show and shine, new food options and an expanded music lineup.

“I don’t know if the second year is tougher than the first. I think it is,” said Mark Hellinger, one of the day’s organizers. “The first year you’re making it up as you go....
