Serving Whitman County since 1877
The annual Palouse Days Show and Shine brought in 213 cars, including a range of collector and specialty vehicles.
Highlights included a restored 1927 Ford Model T driven by Bill and Diana Barr of Spokane and a rare 1917 Ford center-door Model T street rod, driven by Ron Lee of Clarkston.
Also, a longtime Palouse Days car show sponsor, Dale Schoeplin, brought out for the first time his newly built 1967 Plymouth Barracuda. He subsequently won both his class and a sponsor’s pick award.
Winning the long-distance award was Herb and Marianne Renz who arrived from Graham in their 1936 Ford three-window coupe.
The Best of Show award went to Jack and Sue White for their 1957 Oldsmobile station wagon.
Also presented at the event was the Award of Excellence, given to the show’s most dedicated staff member, Patty Rippee of Palouse. She has worked at every Palouse Days Show and Shine since its inception 31 years ago.
