Colton volleyball tops Pomeroy in five games

Colton Wildcats kept their win string alive with a five-game win over Pomeroy on the Colton court Tuesday. The Pirates and Wildcats locked at 2-2 over the first four games, and Colton pulled it out with a 15-11 in the decider. The match went into the books as a non-leaguer for the 1B foes.

Jenna Moser had 21 kills and 12 digs for Colton and Winnie Schultheis had 37 assists.

Line score for the Colton win was 25-13 19-25 20-25 25-22 and 25-11.

Garfield/Palouse Tuesday booked their first match on the season against the Asotin guests. The Vikings took the 15-6 win in the fifth game with Katie Holbrook serving the first eight points. Chandler Pfaff was the only other server for GP in the win.

Cassidy Clarkson and Holly Brown each hit over 10 kills for the Vikes and Foster Marcus-Nelson booked eight digs.

Now 1-2, the Vikings Saturday bowed to Northwest Christian in a tight four-game battle, Line score was 29-27 25-23 20-25 and 25-18 for the Crusaders.
