TOWN OF LACROSSE,

WASHINGTON

A Public Hearing, to discuss Revenue Sources including consideration of possible increases in property tax revenue of 1% and the Preliminary 2014 Budget Hearing for the Town of LaCrosse will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013, in the Town Hall at 7:00 p.m.

Residents attending the hearing have the right to provide written and oral comments and ask questions concerning the budget.

The LaCrosse Town Hall is handicap accessible.

Arrangements to reasonably accommodate the needs of special classes for citizens, including handicap accessibility or interpreter, will be made upon receiving twenty-four (24) hour advance notice.

SUMMARY OF TOWN OF GARFIELD ORDINANCE NO. 433-N. AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE TOWN TO THE GARFIELD PUBLIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY PURSUANT TO RCW 35.21.730.

The Town Clerk/Treasurer shall transfer from the Town to the PDA the sum of $5000.00, to be used only to complete such improvements and/or repairs as may be required by the Whitman County Dept of Health to operate a restaurant business in the building purchased by the PDA for a restaurant business.

SUMMARY OF TOWN OF GARFIELD ORDINANCE NO. 434-N. SETTING THE REGULAR TOWN COUNCIL MEETING SCHEDULE FOR NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER 2013.

Sections 1 and 2. Sets the regular Town Council meetings for November 2013 - Wed. Nov 13th and Wed. Nov 20th, and December 2013 – Thurs, Dec 12th and Thurs. Dec 19th, beginning at 7:00 pm.

Section 3. Sets the regular Town Council meetings thereafter following the same schedule of the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month beginning at 7:00 PM, as codified in the Garfield Municipal Code.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The City of Tekoa will hold a preliminary budget hearing for the 2014 budget on Monday, October 7, 2013 after the hour of 7:00 p.m. during their regular council meeting. The hearing will be held in the council chambers at the City of Tekoa City Hall. All citizens are encouraged to attend.

Scott Ackerman, PO Box 305 Colfax, WA 99111, is seeking coverage under the Washington State Department of Ecology’s Construction Stormwater NPDES and State Waste Discharge General Permit.

The proposed project, Riverpoint Development, is located at West of Bellinger Street, North of Railroad Avenue in Colfax in Whitman County.

This project involves 1.5 acres of soil disturbance for Residential construction activities.

Stormwater will be discharged to Palouse River.

Any persons desiring to present their views to the Washington State Department of Ecology regarding this application, or interested in Ecology’s action on this application, may notify Ecology in writing no later than 30 days of the last date of publication of this notice.

Ecology reviews public comments and considers whether discharges from this project would cause a measurable change in receiving water quality, and, if so, whether the project is necessary and in the overriding public interest according to Tier II antidegradation requirements under WAC 173-201A-320.

The Town of Oakesdale is accepting Sealed Bids on a used 1966 International Loadstar 1600 Fire Pumper Truck on an American La France chassis, The pumper truck has 465.3 hours on it and 5,704 miles. Sale of the truck is as is, with no warranty expressed or implied. The truck may be inspected at City Hall. The Co-Personal Representatives named below have been appointed as Co-Personal Representatives of this Estate.

Any person having a claim against the decedent must, before the time the claim would be barred by any otherwise applicable statute of limitations, present the claim in the manner as provided in RCW 11.40.070 by serving on or mailing to the Co-Personal Representatives or the Co-Personal Representatives’ attorney at the address stated below a copy of the claim and filing the original of the claim with the court in which the probate proceedings were commenced.
