County crews are now repairing parts of the road to Little Goose Dam in the southwestern part of the county.
The storm that swept through the southwestern part of the county damaged the road so badly that crews have spent the last two to three weeks rebuilding the road, county Public Works Director Mark Storey told commissioners Monday. He said repair costs could easily go above $100,000.
Storey also said the roadway lost a lot of rock surfacing which must be replaced.
In another part of his report, Storey said county crews will begin putting up guardrails along sections of county roads that have been determined to be unsafe.
He said the guardrails will be paid for with federal money designated for road safety.
