Colfax J.V. football drops rest of season

Colfax High School jayvee football team has been shut down for the season. Athletic Director Troy Nealey said injuries have depleted the football roster and the school lacks enough players to continue the jayvee schedule for the balance of the season.

The shutdown included Monday’s scheduled game with Liberty and five more remaining games. Last week’s jayvee game was also cancelled because of a depleted jayvee team.

Nealey said the roster for the jayvee teams had been depleted to about 11 players, not enough to safely conduct an 11-man football game.
