Eagle girls win at St. George’s

St.John/Endioctt girls pegged 26 points to win team honors Tuesday at St. George’s. Other team scores in the District 7 meet were Reardan 34, and St. Michaels 72.

Madison Ward won 19:54 on her home course which finishes with a downhill run in the sand.

Placing for the Eagles team win were Heather Siegel third at 21;10, Jordan Porubek fourth at 21:26, Shania Bailey fifth at 21:27, Sammi Bailey 10th at 23:18, Jade Porubek 15th at 24:07, and Annie Bailey 19th and 26:23.

St. George’s won the boys side with Hunter Olsen clocking 16:20. Kalub Kolb placed 23rd at 20:24, and Jacob Blakeley 43rd at 30:13.

Saturday the Eagles took third in the Inland Empire Challenge run hosted by LCSC on their new course in the Lewiston- Orchards area. Eastmont topped the nine girls teams with 61; Moscow placed second at 82, and SJE tallied 83.

Shevaughn Ames of Lewiston won at 18:46. Eagle placings included Jordan Porubeck 7th at 19:57, Heather Siegel ninth at 20:09, Shania Bailey, 13th at 20:34, Sammi Bailey 24th at 21:36, Jade Porubek 34th at 22:25, and Annie Bailey 56th at 25:45.

Blakeley clocked 22:590 in the boys jayvee race.

Colfax boys placing in the district race Tuesday at St. George’s included Tim Cornelius at 20:31, Doug Wilson 26:06, and Thuc Nguyen 31:04. Junior High finishers were Tom Cochrane at 12;98, Tayma Vanek at 13:26, and Cassidi Shindler 15:27.
