Coming off their first defeat of the year in a non-league contest against Colfax Sept. 27, the two-time defending state 1B champion Tekoa-Oakesdale team beat Touchet Tuesday night.
On the road, the Nighthawks won in three games, 25-17, 25-15 and 25-15.
Mattie Jo Johnson recorded 13 kills and four blocks while Alexa Lindgren had 23 assists and five aces. Cassandra Mendoza added 12 kills and three digs.
In addition, Jacee Johnson served five aces.
“We’re doing pretty well,” said Nighthawks coach Brandy Brown. “Doing what we need to do to get the win.”
The team will play next at home (Oakesdale) against Pomeroy Thursday night.
