ZIP-TIE SUSPECT SENTENCED

Michael E. McCarthy, 48, the St. John resident who was reportedly zip-tied last November while attempting a burglary in St. John, was sentenced to 52 days in jail Friday after admitting a charge of second degree burglary. McCarthy was allowed credit for days served.
