Badge garden helps Toybox

Colfax Boy Scout Carson Cloaninger donated $87 to kickoff the Colfax Firefighers annual Toybox drive. The donation came about as a result of excess produced by Cloaninger’s gardening merit badge project at the family’s farm in the Green Hollow Road area.

Carson’s merit-made garden produced such a bountiful garden that he decided to sell the excess produce and turn the proceeds over to the Toybox project. The $87 donation resulted from the sales, although he still has a few pumpkins and gourds available.
