Christopher and Justus Heaton arrived Saturday night from Arizona to spend a few days with parents/grandparents, Blake and Carmen Heaton. While here, Justus shot his first deer. Also visiting for the weekend were Jack Heaton with Kirk and Shawna, Morgan, Gage, Chase, Lane and Wade Heaton.

Joining the Heaton group was Blake Munson from Tri-cities. Each member of the group got a deer.

Ron and Donna Connel, Spokane Valley, were luncheon guests of Dick and Helen Appel recently. Donna is Dick’s sister. Last Saturday, Dick and Helen Appel hosted a dinner in honor of Sue and Joe Lynch, Pullman, who are leaving shortly for Purdue University in Indiana. Those attending were Phil Appel, Spokane; Eric, Shannon, Sarah, Kyle and Sidney Appel, Dusty; Caroline and Rob Kunkel, Zack, Kade, Elly and Luciene, Pullman, and Lisa and Travis Frei, Miriam Rachel and Emma, Palouse.

Monday visitors at the home of Linda Hennigar were Jim Carlson, Deer Park; Jerry Carlson, Ephrata, and Tom Carlson, Seattle. The men were in the area on their annual deer hunting expedition.

David and Phyllis Stueckle spent about 12 days vacationing at Seaside, Ore., and Long Beach. They stayed one night at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Rueben and Judy Stueckle, Puyallup, on their way home.

Guenter and Brigitte Scherwinski were weekend guests of their daughter, Angela and Brian Broeckel and Graham. They attended the LaCrosse-Washtucna homecoming game Friday night to see grandson Graham BeDell make the two point after touchdown score for the Tigercats.

Saturday afternoon, Randy Broeckel and his grandson Grady Adams, Yakima, were in the area hunting on Mark Vogler’s property. They stopped to see cousins Oscar Broeckel and later, Karen Broeckel for a visit.
