10-1 Nighthawks volleyball beats Pomeroy in narrow five

Tekoa/Oakesdale increased their league record to 4-0 Tuesday night (10-1 overall) with a close win over Pomeroy Tuesday in Oakesdale, 22-25, 25-21, 24-26, 25-21, 15-13.

Cassie Mendoza led the team with 28 kills, seven digs and five blocks while Mattie Jo Johnson had 26 kills and Alexa Lindgren totaled 33 assists and eight digs.

The Nighthawks will play next in Oakesdale Thursday against Rosalia followed by a trip to Colton next Tuesday, Oct. 22.
