Colfax netters roll to Reardan next

Colfax volleyball players Saturday will head for Reardan with the intent of keeping their league win string on track.

The Indians are the defending state champions, but the players who fueled the Indians' domination of the bracket over the last three years have moved on.

Colfax will make the stop with just one loss so far this year. The loss was to West Valley of Yakima last week in the pool round of the Spokane crossover tourney.

Colfax Saturday will make a two-match stop at Reardan. The varsity game with the hosts will be at 11 a.m. and then Colfax will rendezvous with Colville for a non-league match set at 2 p.m.

Today, Colfax will be back on the road again with a league match at St. George’s.

The Bulldogs made a home stop Satruday for homecoming and dropped Springdale 25-6, 25-9 and 25-8.

Setter Kori Goodwin rolled up 20 assists against the Chargers and hit 15-15 serving. Goodwin also ran a string of points.

Line score for the Bulldog win was 25-6, 25-9, 25-8.

Nicole Sheer served 13-14 against the Chargers and hit four aces in the short match.

Taylor Larsen hit seven kills and booked two blocks against the Chargers, and Amara Huber had five kills.
