Hill Ray checks on ownership status of Vista Pointe Drive

A city inquiry into the status of Vista Pointe Drive, which serves Hill Ray and the Ag Service Center in the southwest corner of Colfax, has determined the street has never been dedicated as a city street.

Carl Thompson, now interim administrator for the city, told the city council Oct. 21 he has checked records of city meetings and determined a proposal to make Vista Pointe Drive a city street was never finalized, possibly because of an easement dispute which surfaced at the time.
