Pomeroy, LaX book net wins

Pomeroy Tuesday defeated Rosalia in three straight games to finish the league at 6-1 and earn a bye in the first round of the district playoffs at Clarkston Wednesday.

The Pirates took the home match over the Spartans at 25-12, 25-1` and 25-20.

Mackenzie Monahan hit 18 kills and four digs for the Pirates and Ireland Mayfield put up 21 assists.

Shannon Carrothers hit seven kills for the Spartans and Stacey Carrothers had 10 assists. Rayna Charles had seven digs.

LaCrosse/Washtucna Tuesday hosted Tri Cities Prep and took a win at 25-19, 25-22 and 25-13 in a non-leaguers against the 2B guests.

In the Thursday round, the Tigercats lost to visiting Colton 25-4, 25-18 and 25-20.

Winnie Schultheis hit four aces for Colton and Brooklyn Hostetler hit three for the Tigercats.

Also Thursday, Garfield/Palouse dropped the Spartans in three, 25-17, 25-22, 29-27.

Holly Brown had 10 kills for the Vikings, and Mackenzie Reddish hit 10 for the Spartans.
