Garfield program will honor vets

The annual Veterans’ Day assembly in the Garfield-Palouse Middle School gym in Garfield will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8.

Featured guest speaker is Sarah Lee, Washington State American Legion Seventh District Commander. Keynote speaker is Sgt. First Class Nicholas Cochrane.

Special recognition will be given to Washington State’s American Legion Teacher of the Year, Buddy Carter, who just retired from Gar-Pal High School. The Garfield-Palouse Elementary Singers and Garfield-Palouse Alumni Trio of Anna Zook, Leah Phillips and Lili Paine will perform.
