Students learn cribbage

Lacrosse

LaCrosse fifth graders have been learning how to play Cribbage. Bonnie Bigsby and Norman Bafus have helped teach the game with Karen Fleury and Kerri Pierson assisting.

This week Katie Bailey played against her daughter Zoe. Jerry Chastain challenged Ty Harder. Jen Broeckel played against her son, Dustin. Austin Jones challenged Doug Curtis. Katy McKay played against SeungBum Seo while Gen McGregor played against Pedro Zucoloto.

Grade school students were inspired by a magic show performed by Sam Sandler, America’s only full-time deaf illusionist. He not only dazzled them with his tricks, but also talked to them about overcoming hardships in life.

LaCrosse grade school students attended the Hello Dolly! play in Colfax Tuesday morning.

Santa Claus will arrive Saturday , Dec. 7, at 10 a.m. sponsored by the LaCrosse Business Association and LaCrosse Library. Santa and his helpers will spread Christmas cheer at the Gathering Place in LaCrosse Market. There will be a drawing and refreshments served.
