St. John
Despite the wind and a high of three degrees, the St. John Winterfest still went on. The fire station was full of crafts and vendors selling everything from sassy sauce, homemade pickles, wreathes and much more. There was a poker walk with Lloyd DeChenne as top winner.
A swag contest at Moments Spa brought entries from 15 of the businesses in St. John. Jessiann Loomis, who works for ICMC, took first place.
The entries were all raffled off at the Winterfest dinner Sunday night.
The Denton building was full of bingo players with the top prize this year, an Android tablet, won by Mari Holt of St. John.
The parade was at 1 p.m. and many braved the weather to watch.
Community Club had their Winterfest dinner with a choice of prime rib or salmon.
After dinner there was a silent action and a live auction of items donated from local business. All money raised stays in St. John to benefit the community. This year the fund went to Ruth Leritte’s children.

The Methodist Church sustained damage when the cold weather froze the pipes and they broke.
