Colfax wrestlers placed fourth Saturday with 103 points in the Davenport tournament which drew wrestlers from 14 teams. Kittitas topped the meet with 123.
Reardan booked the top score for NE entrants with a 117 for second place.
The Bulldogs finished a half point behind Newport which booked 103.5 for third place.
First-place winners for the Bulldogs were Ray Compton at 195, Evan Lord at 220 and Nick McAdams at 285. McAdams wrestled in the unlimited class although his weight was considerably less.
Mitch Barney placed second at 138 and Reggie Jones fourth at 152. Brian DeYoung booked a 1-2 match record.
Coach Dennis Gransbery said he thought the Bulldogs did well for their first tournament, particularly by booking the high team score without a full contingent.
The Bulldogs also have five other wrestlers who are on the roster this year but did not make Saturday's trip to Davenport.
They include Zach Ulrich at 106, Tyson Rogers 132, Calum Larkin 160, Branden Arneson 170 and Isaac Cook, undetermined.
Colfax again this year has Garfield/Palouse wrestlers Trapper Askins and Kevin Knauf attached to the team. Askins Saturday placed fourth in the 132 class. Knauf did not wrestle.
Saturday, the Bulldogs will wrestle in a tournament at Liberty.
