Don Littleton and Judith Ingersoll were married Jan. 4, 1964, at the Rosalia Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Lester Damron officiating. Don is the son of Schley and Sidonia Wiemer Littleton and Judith is the daughter of Louis and Pearl McHargue Rochat. Her father, James Ingersoll, died when she was an infant. The bride and groom are both graduates of Rosalia High School.
After serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict with deployment in Germany, Don drove moving vans cross country and then established a trucking business before returning to Rosalia in 1963. He was employed by Frank Baulne Construction, Rosalia Ready Mix and Burlington Northern Railroad before going to work for Central PreMix in Spokane where he spent 26 years until his retirement in April 1998.
Judith attended Seattle Pacific College and then worked for 30 years for Rosalia School District serving 11 years as secretary/receptionist in the principal’s and superintendent’s offices and 19 years as district business manager before retiring in 1997.
After three years following the construction company and moving 17 times, the couple returned to Rosalia where they have had their residence ever since. For the first part of their retirement, they traveled with their RV and cared for grandchildren. For the past 10 years they have served at SUM Bible College and Theological Seminary in Oakland, Calif. They began as volunteers with Mission America Placement Service. Don continued in that capacity while Judith was hired to become the vice-president of finance. They lived in their motor home and divided their time between Washington and California. They are in the process of retiring a second time.
Don and Judith were blessed with a daughter Melissa who is married to Ernie Witte and a son Larry who married Kathleen Divilbiss. Both Melissa and Larry graduated from Rosalia High School before attending college. The Littletons have three grandchildren, two step-granddaughters and two step-great-grandchildren.
