Colfax city manager candidate asked to resign from former Redmond post

Michael Patterson, the lead candidate for Colfax City administrator, resigned from a former administrator job in the wake of domestic violence charges late in 2008 in Redmond, Ore. Patterson was placed on leave at Redmond and later asked to resign.

Mayor Todd Vanek Monday said Patterson has told him of his dismissal at Redmond and added he views it as a singular domestic case in an otherwise solid career.
