Colfax High’s Brandon Gfeller is making an early impact in his college career at University of Montana.
The true freshman guard is averaging 8 points per game for the Grizzlies after leading the Bulldogs to two state 2B championship games – winning the title in 2012.
"He’s going to be a good player for us, and I expect him to be in that top eight or nine guys this season," said Montana coach Wayne Tinkle. "He’s another hard worker and just a great kid."
Gfeller’s parents are Stan and Lori Gfeller of Colfax.
"We think he’s going to be a really good player in our program over the years,” said Tinkle. “If we are successful this year, I bet he has a hand in it."
