Don’t lose your vote

In the general election last November, the election canvass board reviewed 103 ballots with questionable signatures which were compared with signatures on voter registration cards. Of those ballots, 67 were approved to be counted and 36 were rejected.

Whitman County Auditor Eunice Coker said that state law dictates the elections office notifies voters with questionable signatures, giving them a chance to sign a new signature card. If the elections office fails to get in touch with a voter, a notification letter is sent.
