Six join quilt project; winds claim flora

Elizabeth Circle met Jan. 7 for their first meeting of the New Year. They sewed baby blankets. Those present were Ann Stoner, Gail Bilow, Barbara Huntley, Louise Owens, Georgia Wells and Anne Lowe.

The wind storms have taken a toll on the large trees in Endicott. The wind storm Saturday caught a big spruce tree in the back yard of Willard and Anne Lowe and blew it over and out of the ground.

Last Sept. 6 the sister to this tree had a third of it blown out during a bad wind storm and later the tree had to be removed altogether.

The Endicott Food Center will be host a movie “Rise of the Guardians” Friday, Jan. 17, at 7 p.m.

Greg and Lorna Burns enjoyed the company of their children and grandchildren for the holidays. Those attending were Jodi and Doug Stalter with their sons Taylor and Kolby; Stacie and Roger Lyman with their children Dustin and Jade, and Gavin and Billie Burns with their children Lexie and Brody.

Willard and Anne Lowe had Christmas dinner for their grandson Ian Hill of Moscow and Corrine Lowe of Steptoe. Dec. 31, Ian Hill visited on his way to Kent for New Years.
