Club gets report on tree project

Endicott

Endicott Community Club met Jan. 14 at the Endicott Food Center. Members present were Sue Bafus, Gail Bilow, Leslie Starriat, Ann Stoner, Myrna Morasch, Cinda Tribble and Anne Lowe. Endicott School Principal Mike Olson gave an update on the tree project at the school. An arborist from Spokane came down to assess the removal and replacement of trees on school property. A written report will follow after the arborist meets with Endicott Town Council and Community Club. A donation of $100 was given to the school to help defer the cost of pictures with Santa.

Tony Anderson, president of TNA Electrical, gave a report on several projects that he is doing for the Community Club: rewiring of the Christmas Star, installing electricity and a light to the flag pole on the Community Club lot and installing security cameras in the center of town. Officers were elected: President Gail Bilow, Vice President Anne Lowe, Secretary Colleen Winchester/Cinda Tribble and Treasurer Sue Bafus. The next meeting will be Feb. 11 at 6:30 a.m.

Community Bible Church hosted the Wednesday night Soup and Bread at Trinity Lutheran Church and a crowd of 50 attended. Habitat for Humanity representatives were present to talk about their projects in Whitman and Latah counties and how they can become involved in our community.

The Endicott Gun Club continues with their Sunday shoot for the Spokesman Review and Camas Prairie competitions. The following scores were posted Sunday Jan. 19: Endicott Gun Club (97-100) Division I: Mark Teal 25, Brad Hergert 24, Todd Strader 24, Hunter Weitze (Jr.) 24. Endicott Gun Club Division I total scores for competition 285-300.

Ladies: Endicott Gun Club (35-50) Amanda Pelissier 19 and Jessica Geissinger 16. Endicott Gun Club score total for Ladies competition: 100- 150.

Junior Division: Endicott Gun club (55-75): Connor Pelissier 21, Conrad Hergert 20, Carsten Miller 14. Junior score total for competition 127-200.

There were 21 shooters in freezing fog conditions.

Jerine Grey hosted the Dads Night In Pinochle Club Monday. Those present were Kathy Storment, Judy Cook, Lorna Burns, Jenny Meyer, Bertie Honn, Shirley Morasch, Lorena Mattley, Anne Lowe, Kenda Hergert, Mary Repp and Marcia Honn.
