Oakesdale School District’s request for more than $7.1 million to renovate the school and the district was 30 votes short of the 60 percent required for approval after the first count of returns Tuesday night. In the first count 54.14 percent of the ballots approved.
Oakesdale’s maintenance and operation levy passed, 61.26 percent yes and 31.74 percent no.
