Two volunteer for board

Two Colfax residents have volunteered to serve on the city’s park board, but other seats on city boards remain open. Don Moore and Carl Thompson have volunteered to serve on the park board. Moore will take the seat vacated by Reece Jenkin, and Thompson will take the seat vacated by Kenneth McNaughton.

Earl Leland, former city council member who was also a long-time member of the park board, has resigned and that seat remains open.

Donna Huntwork has volunteered to serve on the city’s planning commission. She takes the seat vacated by Rayanna DeFord.

Whitney Aguilar, who started a term on the city council this year, has volunteered to serve on the tree committee.

The city also needs another volunteer to serve on the board of adjustment to take the seat formerly held by Mike Becker. He opted to step aside after his term expired at the end of the year.
