DOE grant weighs on skate park site

There may or may not be a complication with the proposed site for the Palouse skate park.

The spot across from Hayton Greene Park is on a plat of ground that is subject to a still-current grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology for the planting of trees and brush in 2008. The skate park would infringe on a part of the planting site.

The grant was set up to be eligible for 10 years with $272 remaining in the fund.
