LaCrosse school adopted a small private K-12 school in Haiti this school year.
The name of the school is Te Wouj and it is about the same size as the LaCrosse school but receives no government support for their needs.
The students and staff decided to raise money for food, books and other supplies.
This was accomplished in two ways.
One was called Friday Hats for Haiti Day.
Every Friday during December students and staff could wear a hat to school by paying $1.
There was also a competition for raising money through donations.
In December $430 was raised to support the Te Wouj school.
