After two seasons that went all the way to state title games at Spokane, basketball for the Colfax boys ended last Thursday in a play-in round before the SE-NE district tournament.
The Bulldogs were bested 47-60 by the Asotin Panthers in the survival round at Waitsburg.
The game was the third time the Bulldogs went to the elimination brink in the first rounds of playoff action. They paired off against Asotin after getting the fifth-place slot two weeks ago in survival rounds of the district tournament.
