Connie Ellis of Colfax chairs the Distinguished Young Women Program in Colfax, in addition to many other jobs and interests. This young women’s scholarship program, formerly known as Junior Miss, has remained popular in Colfax and in Washington state.

Connie is responsible for running the practices and overseeing the many people who coordinate the program. Committee leaders are Marsha Binder, Judges; Interviews, Jill Gfeller; Kathy Carr, Scholarship; Lauri Brown, Publicity, and Connie’s assistants, Carla Hall and Donette Neu.
