Twenty-four Colton students traveled to Spokane Falls Community College March 8 to compete in the 2014 Science Olympiad regional tournament. Colton entered two junior high teams. The first team placed fourth in a field of 13 teams and qualified for a trip to the state tournament which will be at Eastern Washington University on April 12. The second team finished in 11th place.
Sheyanna Weber coached the “Rocks and Minerals” groups and parents who were able to came in and helped with building events during the last couple weeks of preparation.
Hong Truong made fried rice and homemade pizza for the group.
