Thirteen Colfax juniors will compete in the Colfax Distinguished Young Woman competition Saturday night in the Colfax High School auditorium at 7 p.m. Admission will be $8.
The competition offers $3,000 in scholarship prizes. Theme will be South of the Border. Katie Largent, last year’s winner, and runner-ups Jacee Thompson and Nicole Sheer will also be in the program.
Entrants are listed by order of appearance.
Kelly Ward, daughter of William and Kristina Ward, will recite “Footprints in the Sand” by Mary Stevenson.
Lizzy May, daughter of Richard and Melissa May, will sing “Annie Get Your Gun” by Irving Berlin.
Kaitlin Geier, daughter of Jeff and Kristi Geier, will tap dance to “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.” Holly Rimbey, daughter of Steve and Kari Rimbey, will sing “Do You Want To Build a Snowman” from Disney’s “Frozen.” Amie Anderson, daughter of Dana Anderson and Erica Anderson, will be signing to “This is Country Music” by Brad Paisley.
Amara Huber, daughter of Greg and Denise Huber, will play “Rumba” by Frank Sanucci, on the piano. Erica Eng, daughter of Terry and Joanne Eng, will sing “El Majo Discreto” by Enrique Grarados.
Brittany Lewis, daughter of Tony and Rikkii Lewis, will sing “When I Look at You” by Miley Cyrus.
Darian Campisi, daughter of John Campisi and Tamara Manfredda, will sing “Warrior” by Demi Lovato.
Maia Gingerich, daughter of Brent and Brenda Gingerich and Lisa Gingerich, will sing “Let it Go” by Kristen Anderson-Lopez & Robert Lopez from Disney’s “Frozen.” Alexandria Martinez, daughter of Melissa Stramel, will play “Flight of the Eagle” by Melody Baber on the piano. Ysabeaux Ng, daughter of Eddy Ng and Molly Ng, will perform an interactive monologue entitled “Where The Mountain Meets the Moon.” Carolyn Knaack, daughter of Charles Knaack and Kathleen Painter, will recite “Oh the Places You Will Go!” by Dr.
Suess.
