Colfax Golf Course plans a grand opening for Friday with a remodeled club building and introduction of a new manager, Trent Goetz, who has operated the Airway Hills Miniature Golf Course on Airport Road in Pullman. Assisting Goetz will be Reece Barron.
The Colfax course has already been open for play, and Tim Heiydt is back as course superintendent.
Friday's event will be the opener for the club building which has undergone an extensive remodeling project. The club plans a happy hour beginning at 5 p.m. and lasagna dinner at 6:30. People who plan on attending the dinner are asked to notify the club so they have an idea of the number attending. Cost will be $8 per person.
Goetz said they plan to stress family participation at the golf course with all members of the community welcome. One addition will be a couples' night on Friday evenings.
