Sharon Morton concludes 30-year career as store clerk

Sharon Morton retired Tuesday as one of the clerks at Tick Klock Drug in Colfax. She ended an almost 30-year career attending to customers’ needs in Colfax drug stores.

She began working for Roger Edgren at the Elk Drug Store and spent five to six years there before it closed. She moved on to Tick Klock and spent the last 22 years helping customers at the counter. She said she will miss all the people she has come to know.

“My favorite part is visiting with everybody,” she said.

“I will miss all the people who come in here and I’ll miss my work family and my wonderful bosses,” she said.

She doesn’t know what the future will bring. “I’m taking it day by day.”

“Thank you to my Tick Klock family. They are the greatest people in the world to work with. And thank you to the people in Colfax. It’s a great place to work,” she said.
