After casting a tie-breaking no vote on the matter of a local marijuana grower applicant, Garfield Mayor Ray McCown and the town now awaits a decision by the state Liquor Control Board.
The town had filed for a 20-day extension to respond to a standard letter from the board regarding a local woman who has applied for a license to grow and process marijuana under the state’s new legalization law.
“If we didn’t mail it in, they’d assume we didn’t have any feeling about it,” McCown said.
