Colfax girls Tuesday finished a hectic track week with a solid win at Davenport on 134.5 points, a 31-point gap over number-two Lind/Ritzville. The Bulldog boys finished sixth with 47 behind the 119 team win by Northwest Christian.

St. John/Endicott/ LaX/Washtucna also rolled to Davenport with a 44 finish for ninth place by the girls and 38.5 for 10th for the boys.

Bailey Mackleit won both hurdle races for Colfax with a 15.74 in the 100 and a 51.24 in the 300. Scout Cai topped the 100 sprint at 12.55 and the high jump at 5-0.

Colfax again booked wins in both relays, and Nicole Sheer topped the shot-put at 35-2 and the discus at 97-2.

SJE’s Heather Siegel placed second in the 1600 with a 6:01.39 behind the 5:55.02 win by Harley Strope of Reardan. Siegel was also second in the 3200 with a 13:19.44 behind the 12:50.52 by Madison Ward of St. George’s.

Josh Brown took wins in the discus at 148-3 and the shot at 41-10.5. The Colfax boys 4 X 100 booked team another win at 45.91 with Austin Corean, Bo Claassen, Dylan Hall and Cody Fulfs clocking 45.91

Darcy Stamper of SJLW topped 6-0 to win the high jump with an eight-inch margin over the number-two finisher. Stamper also placed second in the long jump at 20-4, eight inches back of the 21-0 pegged by Sam Schafer of Odessa/Harrington.

At Freeman Friday, Colfax girls stacked 118.6 points to place second among 13 teams at the Interstate Rivals meet which attracts Idaho teams.

Zillah won both sides of the meet with 129.5 points for the girls and 171 for the boys.

Scout Cai won the 100 sprint at 13.2, the high jump at 5-4 and the pole vault at 9-6. Bailey Mackleit won the 100 hurdles at 16.08, and Parker Warwick was third at 16.53. Colfax girls also won both sprint relays with Alexie Smith, Warwick, Mackleit and Olivia Mellor clocking 53.5 in the 4 X 100 and Warwick, Sarah Kraut, Mackleit and Taylor Larsen clocking 1:52.2l, in the 4 X 200. Nicole Sheer was third in the shot put with a 35-0 behind the 41-0 win by Karle Pittsinger of Chelan. Sheer placed fifth in the discus was a 93-10 behind Pittsinger’s 126-5.

Colfax boys totaled 44 points to place seventh. Josh Brown had the lone win with a 146-7 in the discus. Sam Dailey placed second in the pole vault at 11-6, and Austin Corean placed second in the 100 at 11.66 and third in the 200 at 23.03

Other top 10 placings for Colfax girls were as follows:

Smith, 8th in 100, 14.18; Cai, 6th in the 200 at 30.05; Leah Heiner, 3rd, and Kaitlin Geier, 10th in 400 at 1:03.79 and 1:11.53; Kraut, 6th in 800 at 2:49.63; Olivia Mellor, 8th in the 100 hurdles at 18:55; Alexis Maki, 10th in the shot at 27-05; Smith, 3rd in the javelin at 82-9 and fifth in the pole vault at 7-0; Mellor, 3rd in the triple jump at 31-9.

Other top-10 finishers for the boys are as follows:

Bo Claassen, 6th in the 100 at 11.91; Mike Nance, 10th in the 200 at 25.36; Claassen, 9th in the 400 at 55.92; Claassen, Corean, Dylan Hall and Cody Fulfs, 4th in the 4 X 100 at 46.12; Fulfs, 10th in the long jump at 17-6, and 5th in the triple at 36-7.

Saturday at the Pasco Invitational the Colfax tracksters who qualified according to entry standards ran into the top track talent in the area at what has been tagged as the largest track meet in the United States.

Scout Cai finished fourth in the high jump for the top Colfax finish with a 5-0. The winning leap in the event was a 5-4 cleared by the top three finishers with Tierra White of Rogers in Spokane getting the win. Allison Wujek of DeSales was second.

Bailey Mackleit cooked a 16.35 in the 100 hurdles to finish 9th behind the 15.25 win by Kaitlyn Gunnerson of Coeur d’ Alene. Mackleit also had a 50-51 in the 300 hurles for 26th.

The Colfax girls 4 X 100 placed 32nd with a 53.97, and senior Nicole Sheer was 23rd in the shot put at 33.0, and 29th in the discuss at 92-1.

Josh Brown had the top finish for the boy with a ninth place in the discus at 146-8. Dailey was 23rd in the pole vault with 12-0.

Sprinter Austn Corean clocked 24.15 in the 200 for 35th and 55.06 in the 400 for 36th.

The Bulldogs’ 4 X 100 relay team of Corean, Bo Claassen, Dylan Hall and Cody Fulfs finished 29th with a 46.41.
