O-board ponders next step for school

Following the failure of a $7.1 million construction bond last week, the Oakesdale School District will now decide how to proceed.

The votes in support declined from the previous, more extensive proposal in February.

The last official full count from Whitman County Elections on April 22 – with an estimated 25 ballots left to count – showed 206 votes in favor and 215 against.

Farmington’s precincts again returned a definite no to the proposal.

In rural Farmington 37 voters sent a ballot for a vote of 35-2 against. Farmington town voters voted 68-16 against.
